Have you ever wondered what the process of building a park looks like? Here at Jerdon we do all the heavy lifting, however we think it is important for our clients to both be in the loop and included during the process.

Find Your Construction Area How Parks Are Built

Depending on the scale of the project, finding a construction area can be either a simple or very complicated task. Oftentimes, when there are open areas in communities, the people of the town tend to take action first and voice their needs to a higher authority. Always make sure to follow code in whatever land you are choosing to build on, and double check that it meets sizing standards.

Figure Out Funding (How Will It Be Paid?) How Parks Are Built

Funding is also a tricky matter, mostly because it can take years for a city or town to raise the money; however, this does not always apply if a company is paying for a recreational area. Funding will also remain flexible up until a plan has been developed and construction has begun. Setting up a budgeting plan on how the park will be funded is a crucial part of the process – without an accurate idea of how much can be spent, plans might take much longer to transpire.

Design and Plan Your Park

Planning your park can be the most exciting and demanding aspect of the entire process, due to its complexity and endless options. You may have a vivid idea of what the park should look like, but the idea must also abide by rules and regulations, the size of the land which has been provided, and the wants and needs of the public who will be using the park. It is important to note that other problems may arise during the planning stage, problems such as political landscape, natural habitats and deforestation (if applicable), indigenous life (if applicable), and others. However, once all problems have been assessed and design plans are finished, construction can begin.

Begin Construction  How Parks Are Built

Once construction has begun, the outcome might take anywhere from two months to two years, depending on the size of the project. It would be simple to say that once construction begins, no problems may arise, but that is not true. Sometimes weather gets in the way, making soil an issue, or even late delivery on required materials. Contrastingly, though, once the projects are finished they have a way of bringing a community or group back together. That is the rewarding part of such a lengthy process.

Building a park can be a long and exhausting process, but Jerdon Enterprises is here to make it look and feel easy. For more information contact us, and to look at our parks portfolio, click here.
